It's a major difference you notice right away. They will never know it's there, install on jackstands is not that bad. Changing Caddy's flywheel dimensions and adding a different clutch present other problems with the spacer that's needed, trust me.

clutch/flywheel is a 'wear' item on our Vs just like brakes...so basically the dealer wont replace it if it is broken anyway..so how can that void that part of you warrenty?
When I thought my clutch was gone, I had MANY people recomned the TPIS becasuse it is 'stock reliability'

I'm curious as to how MANY people ACTUALLY had the clutch they were recomending to you?? Stock reliability because it's basically a stock clutch with a light LSx flywheel and the spacer. I never mentioned anything about reliability, I said "Changing Caddy's flywheel dimensions and adding a different clutch present other problems with the spacer that's needed, trust me." Especially for a home mechanic working on jackstands.

PM me with your bottom dollar.I figure i'll need a clutch in about 10,000 miles anyway.I will probably go back with a stock clutch.

Default UUC Flywheel Weight

What is the weight of the UUC flywheel? Also, what clutch cover/clutch did you use with it?

As I understand it, most of the aftermarket flywheel/clutch assemblies require some grinding for clearance in the bellhousing. I presume this also includes the TPIS setup.

18 lbs. stock LS6 caddy clutch and pressure plate.

That's news to me. The TPIS setup appears to be a stock caddy clutch.

I have the TPIS clutch/flywheel package with over 40K troublefree miles. It is basically a bone-stock OEM Z06 clutch/flywheel, part #12570806 plus a proprietary billet spacer to make up for the thinner Z06 assembly. This assembly is found on the C5 Z06, which I think. is the only other car which shares the 346 cu. in. Z06 motor with the CTS-V. The CTS-V clutch is heavier than the Z06 clutch, probably because it has to deal with the much larger mass of the CTS-V flywheel.
The "grinding" required with the TPIS kit is done to the bell housing of the CTS-V. It is necessary because of the thinner Z06 assembly moves the clutch closer to the motor, and the clutch line entrance in the bell housing must also be enlargened to "move" it equally closer the the motor.

True, the throwout bearing fluid line and the bleed tube need additional clearancing on the bell housing side. I read the other post that the bellhousing needs to be clearanced because of the clutch, which it does not, it's the spacer moving the throwout bearing closer to the clutch that requires the modification.
