I had a 02 MY Z06, was a great car all the way around. Then I traded to the CTS-V 04 black on black. The only problem I see with the V is that the rear is crap, and the car will not hold value for crap. If I had kept the Z I would have been better off as far as resale value the vett wins hands down. I like the V a lot and it was a very nice car, but was to worried about it going out of warranty and having to fix it out of pocket. So I decided to get out of the sports car world for a couple years and get a truck, I just bought a 2007 F150 Lariat 4x4 sand stone metallic, love the truck. I have a 06 R6 for the speed factor so no need for the car.

And before anyone says it I know a car is not an investment. But the V is the worst car I have ever owned that depreciated the worst out of all my cars. I will never own a Caddy ever again.

...I'd never buy anything American made brand new. They all depreciate pretty fast.. CTS V -51k brand new and now 2-3yrs later and 20k+ cheaper...?

I just went from camd V to C5 Z06. Of course the V is a DD compared to my slammed Z but I will not go back to the V until the Rear issues are fixed. Its not reliable compared to the Z... It will brake

If I could, I would. Buuut its just not feasible right now. Being 24, working full-time, and school full-time doesn't leave room enough to pay for two LS6 rides

The Z is a great car, but I can only fit me and one other person. I also don't drive it everyday and would love to have a nice DD. I drive a Ford Ranger as my DD and I'm about tired of it. I don't drag race. I don't road race. I just want a piece of American muscle!

Heavy,
Truer words were never spoken. I just picked up my C6 this morning, the ProCharger is in. Off to the tuner this weekend, and then as a very good friend likes to say:

Its a good deal, they have a wholesale book of $33,000 so thats pretty decent. I am going to be adding a DD to my stable and have heavily considered a used CTS-V. Its a great performance bargain other than a used E39 M5. I don't know wether to buy a used one or wait for the LS3 or LS7 CTS-V to come out and lease one of those.

I really like my V, but forget keeping away from modding it.

I like my Vette also, but it is more fun to drive the V (most of the time).
