Default Exhaust preference?

I am in the process of deciding on an exhaust system but i am not sure which one i want. right now it is between either Corsa or Magnaflow mainly because those are the only two i can find a decent amount of information on for my V. I have an Aero Turbine muffler on my Suburban but i am not sure how that would sound on my caddy. anyone ever here a V with Aero Turbine?

Never heard of Aero Turbine for a V-others may chime in. You also have B&B Exhaust and Bassani as options. If you are considering headers (B&B also makes headers for V), consider this too, as mating headers to a specific exhaust can be difficult, i.e. expensive and time-consuming.

Get the B&B system (I have had the CORSA)

The only thing is that you have to retune when you swap.

There is nothing that compares to a 3" pipe dumping the exhaust.

With no cats and the "X" pipe it sets off car alarms!

Stopped twice and ticketed once (for noise). WHOO HOO!

SW headers and RT Cats to Corsa. Easy install, sounds great at WOT, reasonable at other times.

Kooks off their header connection kits to bolt right up to Corsa exhaust. We have used the Kooks headers with Magnaflow exhaust with very minimal modifications. I consider the Kooks headers to be the best you can buy, they look awesome and fit great!

Sound clips of newly installed Kooks headers with a Corsa exhaust system on an '05 V at my shop. You can see smoke coming out of the exhaust, as the headers had just been installed. Bob

i just put on the billy boat long tube headers and x-pipe exhaust.

if you're not looking for a loud set up, this is not the way to go. it's very throaty, very loud and very fun

it's not an obnoxious sound, but it grumbles quite a bit. i love it.

there was a noticable difference in power without the retune. it's runnign a bit rich, but i plan on tuning it soon.

i'll try to get a video up for sound by sunday.

again, if you're not looking for something that will be terribly noticable i wouldn't recommend going with an xpipe and i surely wouldn't recommend removing the cats with headers.
