Default Rearend anti-wheel hop kit

I've got an '04 CTS-V. I've added a Corsa and a wheel hop kit. The exhaust is fine, but I've developed an extremely load bang when depressing the clutch. It doesn't matter how fast or slow you are going. You can actually feel the banging. The anti-hop kit works great, but I cannot handle the banging sounds/feel. Anybody else experience this problem?

yup, it's normal...you'll learn how to adjust your driving habits so it stops...another thing, dunno if your still under warranty but alot of people had said after their dealer replaced the front bushing on the diff, the clunking softened....what wheel hop kit you got anyways??

BMR was the brand - any idea what adjustments to make when shifting? Have you heard of any damage resulting from this issue?

I had a diff. bushing replaced and the bang/clunk when shifting went away. Have your dealer check that first as my bmr kit was not the cause.

You definitely want to take it to the dealer, that bang is more than likely the front differential bushing, they break very easily and most dealers have them in stock, this virtually eliminated the bang from my V.

Usually it comes from depressing your clutch too fast, when coming to a stop or slowing down.

Thanks for all the input - it ended up being the bushing in the diff. no more bang. By the way I had a speed shop install and order the BMR wheel Hop kit.
