What does this do .

it turns off the traction control and raises the threshold on the stability control.

It also makes the gap between "actual" and "commanded" throttle position smaller. Quicker throttle response and a little more power are the result.

I think that is invalid.

The pcm has the ability to do that, but from the factory, the etc tables are identical from one mode to another.
