widest tire on stock rim?
Hey wuts goin on my buddy just got a V a couple of months ago and he needs new tires . What is the widest tire you can fit with no problems at all? I saw that Nitto's 275/35/18 fit. would a BFG 265/40/18 fit all the way around or would it have to be 265/35/18?
I also wanna find out where i can get a sick shifter for the V as well. Thanx
by the way I love your guys cars. They got the best of both worlds ***** and class.

Check the FAQ, or the other shifter threads here for info about choices (I have a UUC, but KaTech would also be a good choice).
One guy has 'succesffully ' mounted 275's all around, and he indicated that he doesn't drive it all that hard (at least in the corners). General consensus is 275's are no problem at all in the back. 255's is the biggest you can go up front with no worries. Bigger than that, and you have to hunt around for tires that run small. You might be able to get away with a 265 in a 'small' tire, but you'd really be pusing it.
I've run 245/40F 275/35R staggered for about 2 years (3 sets of tires), with no issues.

My 245/45 GSD3's rubbed on agressive cornering (they run really big).
