Default K&N Intake + predator tune

Got my k&n intake today, install was easy.

Not happy with the tb to intake pipe coupler, looks really cheap, bad material and a bit oversize. The hump coupler to the MAF looks great with a K&N logo and nice finish. One of the brackets was not bent enough, so I had to put it in a vise and give it an extra twist before I could secure it to the chassis.

Butt dyno could tell some gains, was hoping it wasn't going to be super loud and was pleasently suprised. At normal cruising speeds can't hear it at all, only at WOT can you hear some extra noise.

Installed a Predator tune as well from the handheld, just the basic one. It definetly picked up a few HP. Nice smooth powerband.

I will get a custom Predator tune next week along with a dyno.

Mods so far on the car.

Magnaflow mufflers + custom H pipe
K&N Intake
Diablosport predator tune
B&M short shifter.

Curious on the gains. Did you get a baseline?

My K&N install went exactly the same. Noticed a small bit of power and a nice noise addition.

I ordered wait4me performance pcm last week. I should get it friday of this week and will let everyone know how it feels. Are you planning on dynoing it again to see the hp increase or just dyno tuning then giving us the dyno tune diff?

I will get a baseline with the predator tune that I already have loaded, before I get a custom tune.

Got couple runs today on the same dyno. I actually lost power since last time.... This is what happens when you use a off the shelf map, with the predator tune, It put down 317rwhp, 4rwhp loss since last time.

I put it back to stock map and it made 324rwhp, up 3 since last time.

The air fuel before intake was 11.9-12.0 with intake it was 13.0-13.1 so pretty lean. In other words the intake is garbage, it pulls too much hot air, stock intake way better.

I probably lost power with it, since I replaced the factory mufflers with some magnaflow ones since the baseline dyno.

So anyone want to buy a almost brand new K&N intake? CHEAP

Ok, so you made 324 with or without the K&N? Can't a proper tune correct the afr?

I decided to keep the intake, or some of it LOL.

5 Minutes with a sawzall we end up with this, best of both worlds.

324rwhp vs 321rwhp, but i also have new mufflers and a H pipe, since the 321rwhp pull.
