I have kooks headers with high-flow cats bolted up to my magnaflow.

The magnaflow had to be cut back to make the headers fit, but no big deal.

My car is much louder now. It sounds great.

I got my kooks from Luke at Lindsay Cadillac and the cats from a cadillacforums.com member that bought them but never installed them.

If you get them, get the "factory-connection" cats and not the "corsa-connection" cats. They'll be easier to mate up to the magnaflow.

It's hard to tell in these clips but the headers made it a lot louder that with just the magnaflow.

Yep, nothing bolts directly up to magnaflow. I think it cost me like $60 at a muffler shop. Still cheaper than owning a Corsa.

those clips really do not do the kooks/magnaflow justice at all...the sound is 100x better! i absolutely love my setup and wouldn't change a thing if i had to do it over.

but i do like the magnaflows and would buy that system if mine causes
any problems down the road.( ie: noise tickets, inspection):

They definitely don't - I think it's the shitting mic on the camera.

Just one of those things you can only really appreciate in person.

for 200 you have a helluva setup...definitely sounds nice. but, you must keep in mind that i live in california - if a cop can't see mufflers near my tips, i'm fucked. so i had to go with something i could get away with.

so of all the catbacks, i prefer the deep note of magnaflow to the raspier/higher pitched exhausts (ie. corsa). plus with kooks headers (emphasis on kooks, not a huge fan of sw or b&b) and hi flows, this baby sounds bad *** - i'll get a video up someday...just need a video camera, haha!

It's about perfect for me - that's one of the reasons why I abandoned my cam plans and decided on the maggie.

Of course I'd love to get a cam and heads, and remove the cats, but not in my daily driver.

no camcorder needed...digi cameras take video...much better than luging around
a cam corder, this thing is palm sized. canon powershot s530...target
sells them for around 150 these days(maybe cheaper by now)...upgraded memcard is around 18.00. and u'll get over 30+ mins of vid and hundreds of pictures. its a win win.
then a nice in car cam mount and ur g2g.

and yes i understand nazifornia is rigid with emissions, but it could be worse.
and like i said i've heard the sytem on friends cars and like the sound alot.

I really think that yours sounds as loud as my magnaflow did withouts cats. Could just be the video, I guess.

i think it sounds pretty sweet for a vid clip. makes me want headers even more now! how bad are the headers them selves to put in? i had a 95 tarns am and they were a tight fit, had to come up through the bottum.

Headers for the V are slightly easier than a LS1 f-body and much easier than an LT1 f-body.

They still have to go in from the bottom. And get a stud kit. Studs make it so much easier to line up gaskets and ****.
