fair enough? =]
Ah, there you go.

also u have to look at the low end tq of the roots (where it really shines)
as a street car (dd) thats where all the fun is, so in reality thats most likley
the best system for a dependble everyday vehical...why else would factories
(ford, jag again ford,buick,ect,ect,...,) and most other car manufactures wrrnty
and opt for the roots type blowers...cuz they work well and are trouble free. otherwise
they would all be turbo's...oh my! they use those too? lol
uhg! it's much to tuff on the brain! why must there be decisions like these?

For the Maggie to perform decent, it needs LTs and a cat-back so,
Maggie $5600Plus install & Tune $1000Plus
Exhaust $2800
Total for Maggie installed with exhaust $8400.

Custom STS style twin turbo with tune & fueling $9000. STS will make more HP, more TQ and less heat than Maggie, also will have better weight distribution (weight is over rear tires, not front tires), less clutter in engine compartment, better exhaust/turbo sound & the ability to easily make much more power without having to upgrade the turbos/supercharger.
The STS will have the WOW Factor and exclusivity of a remote-mount twin turbo car.

FYI, LS7 or stroker LS2 wouldn't have a chance at keeping up with the STS.
LS7 or LS2 stroker would make 450 rwhp on our dyno with about 430 rwtq, STS would make about 500/520 at about 8 psi.
Stroker LS2 would have a decent size cam which would take away some from the everyday drive ability, but it would be more reliable since there aren't any additional parts that could fail/come loose/leak/ect., LS7 = 13 grand just for the motor. We can build an LS3 stroked (& forged) to 427 c.i. with L92 heads that can make more power than the LS7 for about 5 grand less.

Final word, is I could build a simple single 60mm STS system that would equal or out perform the Maggie/exhaust combo for about $6500
Decisions, decisions......

IMO the turbo/centri is a better option for the rear. You'll make more power but it's a little higher up in the rpm range so the shock to the rear won't be as bad. Also, with our car we really don't need any more tq than we already have, with the rear we're not using 3/4 of the tq we have so why add another 150 more tq when we can't handle 330 that is already in the car.

all parts are P.I.F (paid in full)... and the 1st ever butt mount turbo "V" will be a reality.

if things go as planned, the car will be going in the shop the 2nd week of november
(after the vegas sema show) and be finished in 3-4 weeks. i'm effin pumped.
we had the car on the lift this afternoon and we agreed that it can be done with
some "clever"(trade secrets) routing and repositioning of a few things, and minor modification to make this not only neat and trick, but perform well too.
the next 9-10 weeks are gonna be lonnnngggg ones.
once my parts list is fullfilled, i'll start with the picture posting and give a few details.

I hope you're prepared, as these types of custom installations can easily run much longer than expected. And of course cost much more than you initially planned for. Best of luck though, if it works out then it would make you famous in the V world, but this time it won't be because you're a retard!

You might take the spare wheel tub out so that you can mount the turbo higher up to avoid rain, trash, roadkill, etc.

i dont wanna be an elf...i wanna be a dentist.

i know all to well about cost and unforseen project sqwashers...
and if my installer wasnt as proficiant in these custom systems as he is,
i would never go this route...this isnt a job for the faint of heart. he would'nt accept the job (or money) if it was more than he wanted to take on.
it is most certainly doable..i guess we will soon see.
