Default Custom hoods other than extractor

I think underhood temps of 200+ are totally unacceptable.

What is available short of getting out my plasma and welder and custom fabbing my own cowl hood.

Maybe a 2 inch cowl from body line to body line?

I would prefer not to run the extractor, I think it looks a little too rice rocket bolt on and not smooth cadillac enough. No offense to those with the riced hoods.

My apologies to the rice hood guy. I didnt mean to insult, I just want it to look as factory as possible. I like the stealth aspect of the car, hell I debated leaving the resonators in just to keep the car quiet

No resonators, liked it better without.

As for the EC hood, how rough was it when you got it from them? Waves, modifications needed to make it gap up right, all that ish. Im planning to spray this thing at my place in the garage. (used to paint hot rods and customs for a living)

actually EC was very good and was pretty much a direct fit. Per my paint guy no mods needed, just paint, very pleased.

EC Hoods rule, and based on the VManUSA pic, the fitment is now perfect-mine is not.

Well, You guys convinced me. I ordered a ec cowl hood today, But I did order mine with the heat extractor vents. Really need to get rid of some of that heat under the hood.
Was told about 1 to 2 weeks for it to ship. Anybody got one recently, kinda wonder how long there really taking.
Won't hold my breath on the 2 weeks, Everthing I have done takes 2 weeks. But I have yet to see anyone make even close to that, So I kinda figure 2 weeks means 2 months or 4 months, ect. But at least they don't have my car, I can drive it while I'm waiting.
Ever see the movie "Money pit" everything takes 2 weeks

my only qualm with the ec hood is that you lose your windshield wiper jets...unless i am mistaken and they are just hiding under the cowl, instead of sitting flush like sw and stock hoods.

Not a problem when you have a dremel. Make a couple quick cuts in the hood, drop em in. I plan on cutting out the back side of the hood for cowl venting. Im told that the aftermarket hoods are sealed off in the rear or at least the one from spectre werkes is because they didnt want to create additional (though minor) lift in the front of the vehicle.

I never use my washer fluid, still have the reservoir but did not bother making holes for jets. A lot of RainX and high speed travels will in the rain will make you forget about them.

BTW, until you have seen the EC hood in person, you cannot fully appreciate it! I am not one for non-performance modding, but the hood is the shizzle!!!

Heh I never said I wasnt going to mod the thing, I just want the car to look as close to a regular cts as possible. I like the confused faces I get when a 4 door sedan blows by em.

The only hints anything has been done should be wider rear tires and a louder exhaust if I can help it.
