Paint peeling off heat extractor grille (hood)
Kicks the tumbleweeds out of the way. "Anybody home?"
V3, 600 miles. Once it gets good and ripping hot, the paint on the heat extractor grille becomes a bit gooey. I suppose either due to expansion, airflow, gravitational pull of the moon, or all three, the paint starts to bubble and then peel up. Hardens again once cool and a few cycles seems to flake a chunk of paint off.
This is not the CF grille but the standard piece on a black raven car. Caddy dealer is going to order me another under warranty but I can't see how the replacement would be better if they aren't using a heat-resistant paint.
Looking to see if any of you guys are experiencing the same?
Thanks.

Dealer reneged. Well actually at first when I called a week later they said it was in backorder. Then a couple more weeks later when I broke a sway bar end link and they were looking at that, they told me they never ordered it. When I asked "why?" they informed me because I would have to buy the part and pay them to paint it. I'll be having a chat this week with the service manager.
