NO, I would rather deal with a buyer from the forum.

You're in a tough spot. You've done a tremendous job outfitting the car with the best of the best.
You either need to create the demand or succumb to the current market demand:

A. Put this car in the spotlight and get some serious publicity (i.e. contact Matt Farah of thesmokingtire and arrange to have him take a ride with you through one of the SoCal canyon runs. He hasn't done a V1 yet from what I've seen and I think he'd really like a well-sorted car like yours.)

B. Part some of it out. I know it sounds terrible to downgrade such a great car, but finding someone willing to put down nearly $30k on an older platform like this is going to be hard to do when considering what they could get for the same money. I'm not saying the value isn't there, I'm saying the market probably isn't.

The SC will bring some good money. The heads would too (if you still have your stock 243s). Coilovers, sway bars, maybe driveshaft, Valentine V1...

You could probably get over $8k back for those parts listed which would then put you back into low mile V1 territory.

I think Bud has a bead on this, practically speaking. Everyone SAYS they want the best, until it comes time to crack open the wallet. I think Bud has the best advice from a market standpoint, and not just because I would buy some of those parts off you. GLWS, whichever way you go.

Content helps, but your audience is still small. 408 views in 8 years vs 250k in under 3 months and most of those viewers don't own or know much about a V1. Constructively speaking, of course.

If I had as cool of a V1 and I was in SoCal I'd email Matt just because it'd be a fun experience to share, much less a marketing tool. You could always throw in a shameless plug and say "Oh, BTW, it's for sale"

Do you have a Wheelwell.com profile setup? (it's like a new CarDomain, but not as myspace-ish) There's another platform to put it out there, showcase your mods, post some detailed photos and/or videos and people can send you PMs there. The site is full of niche car guys like us who would drool over a build like yours.

BTW, While I'm at work doing an ongoing monotonous task I have these One-Takes playing on another screen. I just watched this one and the guy did exactly what I just mentioned with Matt's endorsement. This one only got 82k views, unlike the 250k I referenced earlier but this isn't as popular of a vehicle in this type of series.

I appreciate all the advice.

The used car market is just brutal.

I figure someone will come up with the cash.

The problem is financing as most banks will only go $15k on it.

"Thinking of selling" is a horrible thread title if you actually want to sell the car. I usually relate that to an unmotivated seller...

I'm in a teaching mood and beat my head on this issue for a while last year before I realized it is really very simple. From a PC with a proper web browser:

(Do this on the first post in the thread)

It's like magic and ****.

Don't be sorry if I don't like it, be sorry if a potential buyer doesn't think you're motivated to sell it.

That is odd. Must be a bug in the system(for some reason not recognizing as the *true* first post) or similar.

No, there's nothing wrong, at all.
Mercier has went above and beyond spelling it out. That IS how it's done.

What, exactly, do you want the title to say and I'll do it for you...
