I'm curious why go for 1 3/4" when the 1 7/8" are readily available? I'm sure you've seen how the V2 headers work well.

Do you know how much? I swapped headers on my Firebird from 1 3/4" to 1 7/8", the car has a full 3" exhaust and I lost at MAX 5hp and 7tq below 5k. The car made ~425hp on the dyno last time it was on. That's just a lot of work that's why I was curious.

Losing low end torque with bigger long tubes is an absolute myth, at least for properly tuned LS and LT engines. I put 1 7/8 on a stock LS1 and picked up EVERYWHERE over smaller tube headers. Lots of repeats of this data on LMR's dyno to support this. If you lost power going to bigger primaries, there is an underlying issue:
No retune
Bad retune
Cam selection
Combination of heads/intake/cam not optimized
Some other tune up issue that coincided in time (fouled plugs, dirty/dying sensor, dirty injectors, dirty fuel filter, bad gas, etc.)
Different dyno or dyno conditions
Mechanical wear

I found a few threads of vette ls7 guys having the same problem. Lower power output with larger primaries.

The tunes are solid. Timing and AFR are where their suppose to be. Yes I did go from a mustang dyno to a dynajet.

I did fight an issue with excessively high EGT during light throttle. Which has been rectified. Timing was too low, and I used the wrong plugs tryin to fight it. I also solved my fuel pressure issue, was running a 340lph when I needed a 450lph.

I feel given my setup, i have to run smaller primaries to keep the scavenging up so i am not chasin my tail again
