Took care of two issues that have been ongoing since I bought the car in Aug 09 (but sound/power mods came first haha)

1. Passeneger side window motor (shocker eh?). Did the "Drill holes in inner door skin to swap" way of doing it, and it worked perfect, 30min total.

2. Removed passenger side headlight motor, (did repair last year but glue didnt hold). reglued and installing today.

Be nice to have **** that works

Well, since 2 years have passed, Im coming up on an emission test.

Picked up some Magnaflow 99009 Heavy Metal Cats (List for $278.00/ea, buddy at exhaust shop got me them for $78/ea). Removed resonators that came with my LT's and OR-Y. Cut flanges off the ends of the reonsators, and welded up the cats.

Just need a slight bend in the left pipe, and everything should line up nicely.

With Arun's tune, fresh oil, some fresh 91 in the tank and these new cats, Pass should not be a problem!

Some pics of the progress :

Resonator :

After cutting resonator ends off and welding up to the Cats :

Just need a slight bend in left pipe to make everything good :-) :

I am now emission legit. Both of the 99009HM cats are installed, no leaks, no rattles or clearance issues. Props go to the old man, he can't leave well enough alone and just has to get stuff done. Helps hes a car guy and likes to wrench, but between him and his buddy that does the welding, they did a pretty good job considering it was done in cold weather with little clearance/lack of air tools

Now all thats left is some Corsa Clone Dual tips, and an emission test, well that and waiting until May.

Wink 1998 Pontiac Trans Am

You had this car for sale back in late 2010. I went to Shelburn I believe to look at the car. I met your father there and he showed me the car. I notice the mileage and then we tool it for a ride. You would never know this car had high mileage. It rode well sounded great and was great to drive and lots of umph. I had no where to put it if I bought it until I sold another unit, but you must be glad you kept it.

Yes I remember that!

Thanks Netto, car was very well looked after and it shows with how it runs/drives. Glad I kept it and look forward to a summer with the old girl.

Sadly, sold the car on the weekend. Had no time to use it with all my committing, looking at houses and had some debt I wanted to rid myself of.
$8500 will go towards that nicely.

I'll still be a lurker here lol
