Thumbs down

They are both ugly! The back of the Camaro looks like **** and the fact thata the Mustang has a glass roof looks ugly as well.

Actually, after GM revealed the new Camaro, Ford came out with their 09 Mustang and the resemblance was remarkable. You know what they say; imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.

#1-Thats not the 09 Mustang, its an Italian concept..nothing to do with Ford.

#3 - The Dodge Challenger needs all the help it can get, since its weight is posted at nearly 4200 lbs .

That new Camaro better be a solid mid 12 second car, because as it stands a 2006-spec SRT8 can push the 1/4 in low low 13s and in some cases very high 12s, pushing a 4200lb+ 4 door brick. If Chrysler begins acting like a real car company instead of a shareholder-focused business, GM and Ford could get a real run for their money.

The Hemi is a good motor, I'm surprised to say (coming from a guy who worships the GM LSx family of motors). And I only have experience with the 5.7 version, which makes my porky Daytona move around quite nicely as if it was a thousand pounds lighter. The SRT version is a beast, and rumours abound of a larger SRT being available by the time the Challenger comes out (of course, this can all change with the new management).

Time will tell.

As for Ford... after my 2 previous Ford disasters, I would be afraid to own one. The only practical use for a fast Ford is that it gets you to the dealership's service bay quicker.

I can't believe I am about to say this, because I have never and would never own a dodge, but I have raced a charger srt8 and a 300 srt8 in my maggied ctsv blew them both away! but was suprised how well they do go! I am glad my car is not stock or I might still be eating crow.

CTS-V = 13.00
SRT8 = 13.10
I hope the multiples of $1000.00 dollar bills are worth a 10th of a second. (The caddy costs significantly more and has done much worse in long term quality tests ((go figure)) )

The HEMI is a great engine, it just isn't getting any dinner yet (wait till the Challenger comes out for that). The 5.7's will lay out near 500HP with a chip (to raise rev limit) headers and a bigger Cam. Chrysler is no longer a public company, so they need not listen to any joker chairman that has no clue about that car business. When Cerberus bought them, they went private. Thats a very good thing When I stated the Dodge would be king roost I meant it, the Camaro will be badass with the LS7 but Mopar has a model coming out ABOVE the SRT Challenger just to take care of it and the Shelby super snakes.

Interesting, I really don't mind the looks of the challengers. Actually I think they look alot better than the camaro's. As for performance is the big question though because we all know that the LSX engines rule!

Yeah, yeah ..... keep leg-humping Dodge, you Dodge leg-humping leg-humper!!!

I don't care whether it's an LS7, or a supercharged LS3 ... I can't wait for Chevy to pull all the stops and blow away ALL the competition!
