carb e85 question

Default carb e85 question

im doing a lq4 in a 3rd gen and rather then dick around with wiring it all up im going to just carb it on e85.....now my question is, im just going to put L92 heads,(cam undecided) please chime in...what size carb and jet settings should i use? what would be a good pump?

I would recommend a carb that is really setup to run on E85. I got one through ProSystems and I know a few others have them too (BG etc). The jetting is vastly different because of the fuel demands.

For my 416 with big heads I think the carb is 950ish.

What kind of fuel system are you using to supply the amount you need? What size feed and return lines?

i have a 950 and converting it all over to E85....im just trying to figure this out before i start building

make sure your fuel system is methanol/alcohol compatable.

I'd send it to Mark Sullens for the conversion... probably one of the more knowledgeable e85 carb builders in the country.
