Default Which cam to use??

Need some help figuring out which cam to use with my combo. Car is a 1970 Camaro, drag only car, rearend is a 10 bolt with 33 spline moser axles, c-clip elems, 4.10 gears w/ spool.

The motor is a stock 1999 6.0L.
Heads will be L92's milled .030 w/ .660 lift springs and flow 340@600 Intake and 253@600 exhaust.
Intake will be a VictorJr.
Carb hasn't been bought yet.
Step headers
th-350 manual valve body don't have stall yet.
Ignition- MSD6010
Rear tires are 29.5x10.5 M/T slicks or 28x10.5 M/T slicks.

I know that I will probably have to flycut the pistons around .060 but I need to try to get a handle on what cam to use with this.

Any suggestions?

Surely look at the mechanical setups for a drag application, helps turn the revs up losing the hydraulic cam, but being a stock bottom end, it might not want to turn to the mechanical bump sticks ability.

All the lower end bolts will be replaced with ARP bolts as well as the head bolts.
I only plan on twisting this thing up to around 6800-7000 so I don't need to run a solid roller.
I keep hearing that the non-cathedral port L92 heads need a different type of cam than the cathedral ports do.

If you're willing to flycut the pistons, then you could go with something like a 234/242 .602/.605" 110LSA +2 advance cam with EPS lobes.

I plan on flycutting the pistons about .060. I would like to have the lift around 640-650.
How well would a 106 or 108 LS work with a combo like this??

Carbs like close lobe separation usually. Helps peak power at lower revs.

Ya see, I've been told 2 different things by several different people (PatG included)... I have a carbed LQ4 with L92's milled .030 in a 4klb car, th350, 3600 stall, 3.73's and wanted a street/strip cam with a lot of lope. Was told a 224/230 on 110+2. Was told that only need for the extra long split was because of the restrictive efi intake and that the vic jr intake didn't need the added exhaust duration...

So what's the best idea for carbed 6.0's with L92's?

I agree that this is a little confusing.

DMMizell, what kind of timing curve did you have with your motor? Do you remember what specs the cam had??

Dom2 cam is 230/238 on 113, but they can grind it on whatever LSA/ICL you want

Does anyone have an idea what my compression ratio is going to be with the stock dished LQ4 pistons and the L92 heads milled .030? I am pretty sure the heads now have 63-64cc chambers.

Thought the L92 heads were as big as 317s in the chamber department?
