also the ONLY way I could open a door over the fender height also.

so you both are correct

Did alright, the nitrous converter killed my times n/a for the first 330' or so but then it would pick up decently enough. Here's the update from another board....

Rented cordova dragway for 8 hours on nov 6th. DA was -1800 in the morning and -450 when I started making passes. Running this nitrous converter n/a only really killed me at the starting line all day. Best 60' were in the 1.6X range the whole time, motor didn't wake up until 5500 or so and that was 100' out at least. Added some timing and played around with launch techniques and rpm on footbrake and transbrake, definitely need to loosen the stall a little or just hit it with a shot and see what happens. Need new front springs since there is no weight transfer with how low the nose is now. Debating coilovers in the front or just buying a new set of stock replacement springs and letting it eat.

The nose definitely doesn't move more than 2" tops up at the hit, maybe a shot will wake it up then. Would kinda like it to do a little better n/a and still run a shot, maybe I'm crazy for wanting both

Wow, are you a politician? If not you could school them on how to answer a question without actually answering.
What did it run? ET/MPH?

i'd like to keep the combo the same for the spring for small money races, hard to post it up on here then get a fair race. Let's just say for all it is, it didn't run well at all, but first time at the track with a whole new combo from motor to carb to trans to converter, bound to be issues.

it will get there eventually, luckily it doesn't SOUND fast, which is key, you can hear a motor and know it makes a ton of power, mine is one of the tamer sounding cars out there.

it would help if my buddies knew where to stop me for the burnout lol
Car spun at the top of 1st and kicked up like 2000 rpm so you hear it snap the limiter a few times before I pull second gear. That nitrous converter leaves LAZY on motor

By all means Im not no expert but sounds like you got your 2 step set to high. I have a nitrous stall and its kinda lazy too but yours sounds like it bogs and then it hits hard. This is my first car experiencing a 2 step and I had mine set way to high and it would bog. Best 60 foot I got with it around 3200 was a 1.59 then I set it at 2500 and it does a 1.51. Not a big pick up but helped me net by best pass. Just my thoughts

I tried off a footbrake, 3500 2 step and no 2 step....they all cut the same 1.6X 60' and nothing changed. Motor wants 5000 stall and it's like 3900 or so n/a. Just need to hit it with a shot to make that stall where it needs to be. But it drives like a DREAM all around because it's soo tight.

I am sure with a 4500 or larger stall for NA would leave harder than that, video made it look like a 2 second 60 foot, LOL.

If I was keeping it n/a only I'd have a big big stall in there, but then street driving it would suck, so I'm happy where I'm at with it.

Yea, that is why i like the 6 speed. If it were track oriented, i would have a stalled auto.
