You would be surprised. There are a ton of boats that do what I do and more. Here is a dyno run for a boat my buddy is building.

Here is one of the unlimited drag boats


The drag racing seen mostly backwoods racing. There are a few events every year with ramps and trees and eta's. If you ever get the chance to ride on a real airboat(not some lame tour airboat barge) jump on it. It's a blast!

Couple of new pics.

My grandpa, dad, and me all on the lake all on our own boats

My dog and my boat, don't have old lady, which is probably why I can afford my boat ;-)

Loaded down, 120 qt cooler full of beer, full tank of gas and 6 people. Still climbs the hill.
