Default Back to the track with the LS3

Well went back to the track today and made an improvement.First time out my best pass was a 7.67 @ 93 mph with a 1.84 60' I added 2 more degrees of timing and have it coming in to full timing sooner now. Also made some adjustment on the rear shocks and removed the front swaybar which helped alot in getting the front of the car to come up harder and further on the launch.Today it ran a 7.44 @94.3 mph with a 1.74 60'.Im pretty happy with the improvement.I sill have the 750 Edelbrock on it so that is still holding back some potential power.Gonna be getting a Pro Systems 950 after the first of the year so maybe that will get it to a 7.20 pass maybe.

Hmm, man, i am hoping you get more than that, i am turning 7.5 at about the same MPH as you, i am sure there should be allot more to get with a better carb and getting a better launch. I understand my problem, manual trans, so i cannot just nail it without seeing if something breaks. Not bad, but 7.2 should be had.

Its still having some traction problems. It needs some 90/10s in the front to keep the front of the car from dropping. It starts to spin soon as the front of the car unloads.

what front shocks now?
Right now it has the factory shocks, springs and bushings in the front.I ordered some shocks today and AFCO aluminum low friction bushings.Another major problem with the weight transfer is the car sits much higher in the front with the LS3 since its all aluminum and alot lighter than the 350 that was in it.Almost looks like it doesnt even have a engine in it from the way it sits.Thats giving me less suspension travel upward on the front coming out of the hole on the intial hit.Ive gotta get the front of the car on some scales and see what it weighs. Then I can go from there on the springs.
