Default trouble getting my demon to idle

i just traded in the ol holley 650 for a 750 demon and im having trouble getting it to idle good. it surges between about 500 and 800 rpm and wont smooth out, ive got idle timing set at 18 degrees setup is a lq9/ patriot stage 2/ cam motion 230/235, performer rpm, th 350 3200 stall anybody got an idea why this thing wont idle?

I had similar issues with mine with low timing also, try bumping up your initial timing to 22 degrees it should help smooth out the idle. Also try turning your idle ease screw adjustment, a small adjustment will correct it.

^^^Same thing here, had 14 initial, bumped it to 22*, been idling WA better. Crisper initial throttle hit as well.
