Couldnt justify running something like that. Sure it works as well if not better than any old school dual quad setup with the right carbs and tuning.

Did you notice the ship date on it? If it's a new release, I wouldn't count on it shipping anytime soon.

It would probably look good on a street rod or nostalgic build, but I would stay away if you are not doing that. I went with the edelbrock single carb dual plane and I know many guys go with the single plane and they probably produce as much power and are easier to tune as mentioned above.

Shipping date is a little over 2 weeks, which I can wait. I'm building 5.3 and it going into to 67 impala. I thought it would look nice on the car, not looking to race, just something nice to drive.

I was told dual 500 carb will work good. I might be putting my order in Monday. I really like the idea of that hot rod look with a modern motor.

1000cfm will be alot for the street. id go witht he dual 390's they are built for inline applicatins, IE: tunel rams, dual 4's. i would never use a garbage edelbrock carb.

Dual quads are different that selecting carburetors for a single quad application. It will even run good with a pair of 600s. The main challenge is getting the idle sorted out. Many carb manufacturers make special models just for dual car set up.

Exactly, as for the street driving, the progressive throttle linkage is made for the street, otherwise, synchronized will be the go for more than street use.

Don't be too disappointed on that date, it could easily be pushed back several times. I'm still waiting for the LS version of the Barry Grant "Badman" intake system that was supposed to be out soon after Feb 2007...
