Will 3/8 fuel line supply a healthy 6.0L?
Here's my fuel setup.
-8(1/2) line going from the fuel cell to a TrickFlow 140gph pump(1.5 feet away from cell). It has a 100Micron filter in between.
3/8 from fuel pump to Mallory 4309 regulator.
From the regulator I'm running a single 3/8 line with filter(good one, got rid of the $14 chrome one) up to my carb feed line with pressure gauge.
I'm also running a 3/8" return line back to the top of the fuel cell.
I've been thinking of upgrading to 1/2 line, but that presents a whole bunch of other costs/issues by itself...new fittings, new pre-pump filter, more new fittings. Can I get by with what I have now and upgrade later when I have the cash?

That is the exact set up I have on my LS2. Even down to the same regulator. The only difference is I have the summit version of the 140 gph pump. From the outside it looks like they were both made by the same chinaman.
If anything the system is overkill. I wouldn't mind dropping down to a 100 gph pump to see if I can cut the noise.
Here is a pretty good link on fuel systems. It is very conservative compared to a lot of set ups I see on here. Even with that, the combo of the return style regulator and big pump should good to go.

I would look at what Trickflow recommends as far as line size. I have -12 from the cell to pump and -10 from pump to regulator and -8 from the regulator to the carb and -8 return. It's overkill for my setup but that is what Magnafuel recommends to make the pumps live as long as possible.
