Default head gaskets

on the 5.3 liter. Is there a difference in head gaskets between the afm and none-afm. I see the dealer ship has diferent part numbers, but to hold the gaskets up and compair them I dont see any difference.

Also I see there is a little tab on the edge, on one gasket it was stamed 6.0 and the other 5.7. If this is for engine size is there a stamp for 5.3? Or is the the 5.7 the same same gasket. I see the 6.0 has a bigger bore as does the gasket. So that is clearly the wrong gasket.

So any feed back on the 5.3/5.7 would be great.

The engine I am building is a 2005 5.3 (none-afm)

U can use 5.7 ls1/ls6 gaskets or l33 HO 5.3/5.7 which are used on newer 4.8/5.3 engines which are slightly better than the older 4.8/5.3. Some of the even older 4.8/5.3 and even some 5.7 are still grafoil coated. Which are least desirable.
The newer ones are mls and .051 thick. Thinner than older .058 and yes the thinner gaskets is an improvement helps raise scr slightly but even better decreases quench area. Which is a good thing
