conversion help 87 mc hello guys i have been searching but i still cant find a clear answer.
i have a 87 monte with a 350th and i have a 2000 ls1 5.7 and i would like to
carb it, but keep my trans.
which parts are needed to do the swap and get me going.
please guys i really need your help.

Get the crank spacer made by Hughes. You can get it at Summit Racing. You will need to use a dremel tool on the torque convertor bolt holes in the flex plate so they line up with the convertor. That's all you need. The hughes spacer is cheaper than the GM spacer and requires no thought to install. There are probably over 100 posts on this subject in the automatic tranny section.

I got a 84 Ss Monte with a 350th and I couldn't use the Hughes spacer with my LQ4.... Wouldn't let the bell housing bolt up to the block liked about a 1/2 in....took it off and work perfect with out it.....did have to drill new holes for the converter.....
