running temp questions

running temp questions ok i got my 347ls1 in a coupe. just wondering what my normal operating temp should be. i got a manual guage tapped into the car style water pump. also has stock thermostate in still. any info would help out alot.

Yea stock thermostat is a 195* and my lq9 runs between 195*-200* depending on weather conditions. I am using an electric aftermarket gauge in the stock driver head location.

A friend of mine has his sender in the water pump a few inches toward the driver side from the upper water outlet. Truck water pump, 5.3. His seems to work very well and closely matches the thermostat. Ron
