what kind of compression do you get with a 59cc combustion chamber on an LS1?

Probably 10:1 or more. The LS1 has a flat top piston doesnt it?

If by LS1 we are talking the original 346, they had 65-66 chambers from the factory with the 241 heads. And factory compression was around 10.4-1 give or take. So with that small of a chamber I would think it would be closer to 12-1 with that small of a combustion chamber. Find a compression calculator and let us know. Eric L

I don't know the exact LS-1 spec's, but with stock bore and stroke and an 0.054" gasket, by going from a 66cc head to a 59cc head you'll bump from 10.4 to 11.3.
