Well, white plugs means lean, that is a starter point, so from there, what does timing and jetting look like?

why are you running that cold of a plug n/a ? Secondly if the plugs are white keep adding jets, do you have access to a wideband to see what it's doing?

huge jets in the carb, something else is up that it is running that lean. For instance I'm at 77/88 for jets with a bigger than normal PVCR in the primaries. So something is up with your combo, whether it's losing fuel pressure or something.

Hell yeah, it'll miss when it's lean. Can't imagine how you could possibly be lean with those HOGGER jets unless you're running a 500 CFM carb on a 600" motor or you have a humongous vacuum leak somewhere. Try and get your basics taken care of first...

Take the pressure up to 7.5, get rid of the cold plugs until you get the motor to run right, and go down on the jets until it won't foul the plugs with the higher fuel pressure. And also, as said above, look for a vacuum leak. After you get the motor to run right, then you'll be ready for the cold plugs.

don't need to run fuel pressure that high at all. 6 psi is perfectly fine

Are you sure it is lean? if it is crazy lean it will usually have a bog. unleaded fuel will not color the plugs even if it is stupid rich. I suspect it it s rich missfire you are seeing.
what is your engine combo, and what carb?/timing?

What air bleeds are in the carb? I hear that the wrong air bleeds can require larger jets.

You said it runs horrible when hot.

Could be fuel pump - regulator - filter. See if you can set up the fuel pressure gauge so you can read it when running.

I assume you set the floats right.

You should answer the questions that keep getting asked about your set up and get that thing on a wideband. You can ask questions on here all day but without real info no one can give you real help.

He gave absolutely NO info on what the motor is, and you're giving him advice on which plugs to run?
