I have stripped the accelerator pump discharge nozzle screw threads on the body of my back up carburetor. Is there a heli-coil kit for this thread size? Anyone know the thread size?

Of course this happened when I was just about to go to the drag strip. I guess it is Pizza and a Movie instead tonight.

Man, that sucks! Sorry I can't help with the thread size, but I'm sure there is a way to helicoil it as you suggested, once you get the size figured out. Always sucks to miss out on an otherwise good day at the track. Good luck with it.

Edit: I think its a 12-28 thread on the shooter screw.
You can get a heli-coil kit for anything. Even weird-*** 1/4-32 model airplane motor plug threads.....
Prob wont get it tonight though !

When you send them in to holley for this kind of repair all they do is helicoil and use a hollow shooter screw. Best of luck Tigger. Hope it all works out. Eric L
