Default Data logging a carb'd LS motor

What are you all using to datalog your carb'd LS cars? My obvious choice is to buy a sportsman racepak but is there anyway to use my factory pcm?

I went with the Racepak V300SD.

The sportsman is OK but doesnt have nearly enough channels - You can only get 6 user defined channels, which will get used up fast - Dash, Fuel Pressure, Trans Temp etc etc

I think 6 will be plenty for me for now. If it comes to that I'll just be interested in logging nitrous fuel pressure, nitrous pressure, pan vacuum and carb fuel pressure as far as the vnet channels go

I thought the same thing at first. But youre gonna drop $800 on the Sportsman and the V300 is $1700.

If youre spraying, youll want on the VNet user define at the least -Fuel Pressure, Nitrous Fuel pressure, Nitrous Bottle Pressure, Pan Vac, Trans Temp - I think that Oil Pressure, and water temp are factory defined channels. But add a dash and youre maxed out.

Thanks for the help. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. Looking to see if it's possible to use the factory pcm. Thanks

Depends what you want to datalog.

Factory PCM if you could figure all the wiring, would at best be able to log RPM, oil pressure, water temp, and maybe vehicle speed.
