Default 1989 Chevy Silverado w/ 71' El Camino motor

I have a 89' Silverado that is my daily driver and it is TPI but I have a built 350 out of a 71' El Camino that is carb. So, here's my question. I want to do the swap but keep the TPI for smog reasons due to living in California... Is it going to be a relatively easy swap to do. And can I literally just switch the block and heads without changing any components. I have been working on tuners my whole life and both of these items kinda just fell into my lap so I want to do the swap if it is possible. Thanks to anyone that can help.

You might have more luck posting in the smallblock/ big block chevy specific forum. this forum is for LSX power. Good Luck with your swap!

Maybe OP dosent know what LSX means. Less special xtras, love sex xtasy, low sense xtreme, limited social xplisative. Everybody has to start somewhere. As a tech addict, you need to welcome new people in , not dog them down! Really not trying to dog you out, just saying there is strength in #'s. Dont run the man off cause he dosnt now what forum to be on.

The 89 intake won't bolt straight to the 71 motor. Use the 89 heads and intake on the 71 shortblock and you'll be good to go.
