Default What to do with my 99SS

I wanted to do the kiss method. Maybe ls6 intake light weight and such but I am leaning to carburete it. I just want to keep the tune in my hand. Vic jr 650 carb stock cam maybe and retain the 3.23 10 bolt. I may have to change out the 4l60e. What do you think?

I think it would be interesting to see what a carburated, bolt on LS1 would do in a run of the mill F body. Would be an interesting apples to oranges comparison to the LS6, Fast, intake Nick williams throttle body set ups. I say GO FOR IT. Eric L

Doesn't that body style have serious hood clearance issues with a carb?

Yep you have to pull the wipers and cut a section out for it all to fit. Kind of semi major surgery.

The stock trans will work with a trans controller, I have one and it is fully tunable with the supplied handheld.

Got mine for 575$ off eBay, it is the FAST EZ TCU, will control any 4l60 or 4l80 and the new tci 6 speed automatic. Couldn't be simpler as well.

Thanks. I have the car down to 3200 without me in it. Maybe 200 more.

You and i are in the same boat right now. I have the motor in the car and still deciding to go efi or carb, but i think i'm just gonna go ahead and do carb. The money i will save going carb can go to suspension instead.

i know some people that thought they would save a ton going carb, it depends on what your setup is but some carb setups i have seen are just as much as efi
