3pedals I missed if you milled the heads at all. Also you said you had plenty of PtoV, but you have cut your pistons some, insurance, or was that for a different cam?

I'll be using a similar cam 226/234 113+3 lsa. I plan to mill about .030" and run a .040" gasket for compression. I am without a doubt going to check for clearance just getting an idea of what to expect.

Also what are you daily driver guys current opinion on keeping the ly6 oil pump after the vvt delete, and how much real world driving have ya'll put down?

With the 227/235 114+4 cam and un cut l92 heads I had lots of PtoV clearance.
I cut the valve releifs for a much larger cam and a substantial head cut.

unless your shifting sucks, this is simply not true.

we tested this idea in my friends 10.50 73 camaro. it ran the EXACT same e.t. it did with the 5 speed in it and mph was better with the stick.

FACT

he then took the sissy auto out and put the stick back in it. haha

60' was in the 1.5's for both also. only thing that changed was the mph with having to drag the automatic

Interesting. I would agree that a stick can et as well as an auto car as long as you can get it to 60' the same. But that's usually the hard part....unless the converter isn't right for the auto car. Cool comparison to test two trans types all in the same weekend at the same track. Your friend must have a lot more ambition than me......lol.

Sorry for the hijack OP.
