06 truck 5.3 carb questions? no p/s, no a/c.......
ive got a 5.3 from an 06 truck, its got the 7118 manifold, thunder 650 carb, and the msd box that comes with the 7118. im not running a/c or p/s, and the motor is going into a 71' datsun 521 pickup.
ive read about swapping the front pulley system over to corvette stuff, w/p, balancer, and dropping the alternator down to the bottom of the motor. im trying to save as much room in the front of the motor as possible due to how small the truck is. i know im going to be remaking the firewall anyway, but would like to not go too far into it.
i need to know what year corvette stuff to order? also does the stock corvette alternator bracket work? or is there an aftermarket one i should look into?

What about some billet pulleys? Or billet bracketry? Im looking for some dress up stuff because this is mainly a show truck. It will never see the track. Hahaha

I used a corvette Pulley and made a bracket to hold my alternator close to my block. Don't have a water pump so can't help you there but the corvette pulley is alot shorter than the truck one.
