Default progress so far on 1st build

VERY FIRST BUILD 73 nova. Just wanted to put my build out there for comments and tips lq9 6.0, vic jr intake, unknown cam as of now, stock 799 heads w valve job, arp rod bolts (they have already been checked for roundness) king bearings will be installed tomorrow and lunati voodoo spring kit. Parts still left to buy 850dp holley carb shoenfeld headers im too cheap to buy kooks. any info would be appreciated thanks pics attached oh ls muscle car oil pan will be holding the lube

Sounds like you nearly have it lined out, need a good cam and your good to go.

Build plans look good. Did you check the big end of the rod for roundness before or after installing the ARP rod bolts? Looks like its coming along nicely. Eric L

sure did the previous owner must have already had it done because i had the machine shop check and it was within tolerance.

Ok. I checked mine after installing the bolts, (2004 and up LS3 rods) and found them to be a slight bit out of round. It was acceptable, but I had the big end opened up anyways to return them to round. But it proved to me that you CANT just throw them in and be 100 percent certian. Keep up the hard work. Awaiting more pics. Eric L
