hahaha thats kinda what i thought too. It is a little rich but i wouldnt think its that bad. The carb has .076 jets front and rear i think im going to drop like 4 jet sizes and see if that makes a difference.

I'm gonna assume it has like .650 springs on it right.
As far as not pulling past 5500 are you sure you moved the limiter in the software? You have to every time you make a new curve

Cool, just mentioned that cause I changed one and forgot, found out at the track lol....also, when you use your trans brake, try setting the 2 step at least 500 rpm lower than your stall is rated so it can flash

76s sound way small for the rear of a 950HP......unless you're running a powervalve in the secondaries for some reason. But assuming you have the power valve plugged, I don't think 76's are enough fuel and could be why the thing won't rev. Just for reference, my 950HP has 76s in the front but 86s in the rear and my AFR is right around 12.9-13.0 at WOT. I wouldn't be pulling jet out of it; I would jump up to 86s in the rear and see what that gets you. Again, this is assuming there's no powervalve in the rear (which there really shouldn't be for what you're doing).

Im of the cam not being set up correctly you can drop one in and it will run but it might run like crap invest in a degree wheel. then check your timing curve.

That engine has great parts and a good overall combination. It should be a very capable performer once you get this figured out.
A few things to check out:
Compression test?
Bad gas?
Vacuum leak?
Obstruction in carb or fuel line? ie, plugged jet or passage.
Accelerator pump working properly?
Air Fuel ratio?
Fuel pressure?
Fouled plugs / plug gap?
Faulty plug wires?
Faulty coils?
Faulty MSD box?
Good 12V feed Voltage to MSD Box?
Already stated...cam installed correctly?
The 950hp is a great carb, and solid concept. However, calling it a 950 is a deceptive marketing ploy by Holley and the myth/lie just keeps being perpetuated....they flow about 870 on a good bench and have about the same basic throttle response as a 750. It is a 750 bore size with a 850 sized throttle plate. Great velocity is maintained due to the 750 main body and you pickup up the extra CFM with the larger 850 sized butterfly's.

Check throttle linkage to ensure WOT?

Alright, I took a little time off work but now im back at it. The problem was the TACH!!! after I got exhaust put on it sounded like it was still revving after the tach had stopped so i hooked up the laptop and made a pull and BAM!!! 7000 so now i know im pulling to 7000. I still had the hesitation problem so i pulled out the jets and it only had 72's front and rear so i bumped up to 82's and put the timing back in that I had originally and now shes runnin good and the plugs look awesome. Not much pull before 5000 and still not able to burn the tires but shes a screamer above that. It could be that i have 30x12.5 drag radial with 4.10 gears and coil overs so i am looking at going with a 4.56 or 4.71 to help get some of the low end grunt back. Haven't been to track yet but gonna shoot for friday.
