Thanks buddy, after seeing some members here with a black intake I kind of had to do it. Just sucks it was not the black I was looking for, will work though.

Well, done and done. Gets warmer than I want at 75 mph. Bout 200*, so I think a new fan setup. The pusher is not helping, has a 165 stat. Still had 3.23 gears so I imagine the 4.30 set will be horrid trying to stay cool. Sounds great, same as the RS of course. Rpm revs faster with the 9.5 converter. Videos to come.

If it gets hot at highway speeds, I would look at air management and not the fans. It should not need the fans at a cruise. Are all the factory front air deflectors in tact? Does it have a chin spoiler on the bottom of the core support? Were those cars known for that problem?

That is the problem, the TA has a sealed front end and I have replaced the stock lower dam with a metal piece that does not flex at speed. The fact it happened at night time is the other factor that has me wondering. So, if a set of fans will not cure it, idk what the hell to do.

No shroud? Wow. That would lend itself to hot while stopped or slow speed not on the highway as long as the airflow is there. Hmmmm.
If this is the same rad that was in your Camaro, then it has to be an airflow routing problem.
This is a shot in the dark, but are your water pump heater hose outlets looped or blocked? Whichever it is, maybe try the other way.

Water hoses are run though the heater core. Going to run lt1 or ls1 dual fans. My third en buddies say it should solve it. The radiator is brand new, was running a stock unit before the swap.
