call when you go to the track. it's been too long and now that my s10 is getting closer to being ready i'm getting the itch. maybe the smell of vht and burning tires will get my *** into gear.

Well, that sounds right.

Stewart, I will give you a heads up. Or just give me your truck and I will finish it and take care of everything, and you can just forget you ever owned it...

lmao, yeah i'll think about it. just waiting on a few more parts and a more money mostly money. what started out as a semi budget build followed the trend of past projects and became a not so budget build. i got the pistons flycut last weekend and my transmission guy called last night and i pulled the trigger on what he wants to do. i'll have to line up with you to show you how it's supposed to be done!

if you want to buy the truck it could be picked up for exactly what i have into it. i wish i had a boat right about now...and padded pockets.

Yea, let's line up my 3300+ pound stock 6.0 with cam against your sub 3000 pound truck that has real heads and the works, lol. There is a reason I rarely lost in my RS, I chose my battles big enough to matter and small enough to win. Perhaps when I do a fox body, then we can play! Lol

Well, thought you were ditching unneeded weight like a boss. Cannot wait to hit the track.

nope. i want a full street truck. full weight with A/C and power steering. i even plan to race on street tires.i got tired of spending 30 minutes swapping tires, pulling tailgates, shortbelts, etc etc. i want to roll in and run it exactly how i run it on the street. i definately want to go with you when you hit the track.

Well get her finished. I need a u joint, yank sub frames from the RS, install the sub frames and 12 bolt, install dual fans, wide band and play with the tune. So, next week I hope to be at 100% track ready.

Not BS actually, when I sold a t56 and had to ship it, it came in at 125ish with bellhousing. Thats not including clutch, flywheel etc. And also dry. Weighed my th400 short tail shaft other day was 130lbs dry. Not including converter though. Maybe you're just tired from throwing your t56 around the shop all day, you had you use a jack to get the 400 in lol.

Exactly right. I throw a t56 in, Trans only, no bell, easy to handle. 400 goes in with converter and all. Then there is allot more fluid, cooling lines, shifter, cable. All adds up.

Point is the whole setup for both is within 10 lbs of each other. Have fun anyways. Car sounds good.

12 bolt is in. Need to get the sub frames and fans installed still. Took more than I wanted to get the rear diff installed. The tires wanted to rub, so I removed the bump stops.

Get those subframes in. I expect to be able to see them when you launch.

Motor started knocking, drove it today, and was in the rpm and started fluxing in the oil pressure. Shut it down and limped home. Pretty gay I will not get to the track next friday to see if it runs harder or not.

That is terrible news. Even thought that motor owes you nothing, you may consider ditching that thick oil you have been running. It could actually be part of the cause in my opinion.
