Currently am running 670 avenger that has the 50cc pump i installed on it. I did that when i was running the vic jr. intake. Now I have a perf rpm with the 670 and it still runs good. I just acquired a 770 avenger(no 50cc pump) that has 72/75 jets. My 670 has 65/68s i believe(its stock). Will i need the 50cc pump with the perf rpm intake? And will it run any better. Its a vac secondary carb.

You won't need the 50 cc pump on any of those set ups if you tune your transitions circuits right. Lots of guys run them with the single planes, I use to be one of them, but once I got the AFR steady with slow throttle changes I was able to go back to the smaller pump. This is an LS2 with a 750 DP, mechanical secondaries and GMPP single plane.
Most tuning guides say to tune the accel shot last after everything else on the carb is right. To tune it they say to use the smallest accel shot needed to just get rid of the bog on quick throttle changes. It is kind of hard to tell when the shot is too much. Most guides say too much of a shot will make the car lazy or sluggish until the excess burns off. So always start small and quit increasing once the bog just goes away.
