Timing? That would imply that thing has spark plugs. The VE is so high on that car, it lights off by spontaneous combustion.

I wished.... One thing I never anticipated was buying spark plugs by the hundreds. That is no joke....

I hear ya. got one that's 13.5 and getting it tuned is definitely a challenge. Going E85 and am breaking it in on gas for a little while to make sure the rings get seated good. When I change it over to E85 I plan on taking it to the dyno. That's why I asked about the timing.

How about you speed? any suggestions on the timing on one that high of compression.

Not really. If it is a new combo and you have no reference, I would just start low for safety and creep up on it. Test n' tune and test n' tune some more is what I would do.

Thanks anyway. We don't plan on taking it to the track till after we change it over to E85. The dyno shop will put the final tune on it. But for now we were just looking for a basic tune to break the motor in on gas. Just ramping from 0 didn't have all the cylinders firing equal. Sorry, don't mean to hijack this thread. I'm out
