Default msd boxes.

I see they have a 6012 and a 6010. Is one better than the other? I only want to buy once, so would rather get it right first. I am building a 6.0, probably a ly6 from a 2007 2500 to go in my Mustang coupe. I want a very healthy cam, dont mind rpm's. Probably be a stock shortblock minus cam for now. Looking into dynatech or Kooks headers. I am in the process of looking for a oil pan and water pump for my application. Should I install arp rod bolts? i do plan on hitting it with a little spray, maybe 200 or so later on. It will have a turbo 350 and probably get a converter built for it and a cam also. Hoping for 6.5s or better. I need all the help I can get, wife will kill me if I sell my ford parts off and go slower. LOL

Custom grind cam. I would not use ARP bolts because I never do. A 07 will fall into the 2005 up ignition controller, the 6012. The 6010 is for 97-2004 reluctor and rear cam position sensor setup.

Cool. Thanks alot. Its bad that I work at a dealership, but we dont do any performance crap. I guess i could look in SI and find some of this stuff, but its easier to ask here.

Idk if it matters for the 6012 with the cam gear, I had the first one with the 6012, no problem.

I thought it was Gen III vs. Gen IV, meaning the 6010 was for the Gen III and the 6012 was for the Gen IV....

I have a LS1 out of an 04 GTO....I bought the 6010 box assuming it's the right one?

I have a 2004 block with a rear cam sensor and an aftermarket bottom end with a 58X reluctor wheel. Will this cause the 6012 box problems?
