Default New plans with the 6.0

Well I haven't posted in this section of the forum but figured I would Share the Combo and figure what yall think

6.0 LQ4 with ARP Hardware
Stock 243's with Valve job and milled for 11.5:1 Compression
Custom spec'd cam for the carb
283/294@.006
234/242@.050
155/162@.200
110LSA 107ICL 113ECL
234/242 .602"/.615" 110+3
Super Victor Intake (Track/See the street once every few months car)
Holly 850 DP
Thats for the power plant plan on spinning it to 7300-7400
Question is how much power this combo should make I'm thinking in the 450-475 rwhp range

The tranny and Gear are going to be
Th350 with 5600 Stall and 4.30's (Set up for all motor)

Car is a 93 Hatchback Mustang
AJE K member and A Arms
Coil Overs
Gutted with exception of 2 Racing seats
8 point cage
Strange Adjustable rear shocks
Weld Drag lites
10 Gallon cell
Flaming River manual rack
Manual Brake kit
Gutted stock dash/Aluminum dash (Still up in the Air)

I'm hoping that it is under 3k with me in it but I'm probably dreaming

I want it to be one of the fastest N/A untouched heads (Porting Wise) cars when its done

Goals

10.20-10.40

How much are you planning on milling these heads? An LQ4 with 243 heads unmilled is what 10.3:1?

.040" off of 243s is about 58cc figuring at .006"=1cc?

That puts you at 10.9:1 according to the compression calculator:
http://www.kb-silvolite.com/calc.php?action=comp

Now if you had an LQ9 or flat top pistons, that would be above 11.5:1

I may have misinterpreted but I asked who I was getting my cam through what I needed to mill my heads to get the desired compression he told me and he said .040 and that I could run 11.5:1 compression on pump gas........So figured the .040 was what I needed for the 11.5:1 compression it won't make or break the build with half a point of compression I could also go with a .040 gasket to raise compression

No worries. I just want people to know the real deal. That compression calculator is an excellent tool.

Also, that is a ton of gear for that light of a car. If you are planning on running those ETs, you will be in the mid to high 130s. You may have to run a 30" tall so you don't run out of RPM before the end of the 1/4. Here is another absolute necessity tool:

low 10's is more low 130's then high 130's on a N/A car and plan on spinning to 7400

Person who Spec'd my cam said put 4.30's in the back if I was going to run all motor with a 5500 stall on a 28 inch tire

April time frame is when it should be together sucks not being down there so I don't have anyone I know who is capable of putting it together while I'm up in South Carolina with no way to store it :/ and not in a quarter mile car no but I have been 130 a handful of times

I'm hoping it is a monster and the goal is to have it run 9's NA maybe not with this combo but down the road this will probably be the first of many combo's this car will see!

Don't forget the PTV clearance, may have to flycut which could cost a little compression also.

I would try the 4.30 gears and converter combo before changing gears. I also will be spinning 7500 rpms and have 4.56 gears with a 28" tall tire and 5200 stall. If its to much then i will change gear. you should run well into the 10's

Martin @ Tick (Which is a fantastic guy with perfect customer service) said 10.20s and once I max it out going to change gear and converter and I'm going for 9's on the 150 shot way on down the road

Short block is going together this weekend!! Heads are done as well as the Rods being reconditioned with the ARP's!!

So hopefully all goes smooth going together this weekend and will check the PTV clearance and get my pushrod length figured out.......Are them HP/ET MPH goals to hefty for what I have I've seem to guess the car is going to make more and run faster than it "Should"

LQ4 here with LS3 heads shaved .050 and a .051 gasket....Pistons cut .100 for the proper clearance.

ET should be do-able looking at the other combos on here.

I'll be out this spring with a new combo shootin' for low 10's NA myself

yes. Heavy street use. Drive to track, meets, etc.
Few years ago i built a similar build. Using same cam, gonna apply same labor to the heads. This time i have higher compression. And aluminum block.
That old combo made 490rw thru a m6 and stock 3.42 gear rear end.
I think the extra compression. Will get me close. Since i have better intake now. Also plan on using a hvh ss spacer. I also have access to e85.
When run at the track. Gonna bypass the ps. That should net a few hp.
Its more of a fun street car for me.
A 3rd gen iroc camaro.
Alot of new 5.0s and challengers have been popping up around my area.
