Default Carbed 6.0 swap thread

I have had this S10 for 8 years.I was running a small block that I seem to break every time I go to the track. So I am installing a low budget Auto salvage 6.0.
So far I have the engine disassembled, cleaned up ,ARP main studs installed, arp rod bolts .I made a midplate and motor plate.I am also trying to shed some weight ,so I made a new transmission crossmember and steering rack. I have along way to go but it is a start.

Looking good. Ought to be a fun winter building that.

Are you going to stick with the stock cam? What intake and carb?

Man, big *** cam. You will need to post some numbers. Might as well go with a vic sr. intake. You should have plenty of hood clearance.

I have a couple more pictures in my profile on here that you might be able to see better. I cut out the stock front crossmember and put a plate on the sides and added a 1 3/4 tube then put a V shaped tube out the front and mounted the rack to that.
