Grinding on the timing cover?? I've searched around and have yet to find a cover that specifies that it fits over double roller chains.

Install the stocker and you should be able to figure out where it makes contact. Or maybe your luck will be better than others.

There were a few threads on here a year (or older) specifically about this, try searching back that far...

i did grinding on the oil pump housing as well as the timing cover. Unless you're going solid roller with extreme spring pressure, I would just buy a quality single roller with new gear set and call it a day.

Should fit, usually. The ls2 setups usually like to hit where the cam sensor casting is.

Here's what I did to get mine to fit, spot-faced the four pump retainer bolt areas with a router bit in my drill press (poor man's mill). After this, it fit tight w/o a gasket so there's plenty of room with the gasket installed.

From spacing the oil pump with the provided spacers is what caused that. Right?

Yes, zones....I got lucky. Used a comp double roller and a Smelling high pressure pump and had no issues.
