Square port intake with cathedral port heads
Is it possible to run a square port gmpp intake on cathedral port heads. The intake and gasket completely cover the cathedral port heads so there would be no leak in between them but what might be the consequences here?

The reason is because I have a gmpp intake and it is square ports checked on summit racing and it just says its for ls1/6 with no option of a square port or cAthedral port....

Besides the intake bolts not lining up there would be alot of turbulence.
Reminds me of guys who ran Oval Port BBC intakes on big Rectangle Port Heads claiming it increased runner velocity. Cant run the opposite though because the air hits a wall

Right I know what the square bore meant in relating to the carb base flange but that was not my issue I thought it was just the wrong shaped ports but that was not the case. Well I slapped on the intake today and it looks pretty nice. Thanks for clearing things up with this whole situation I can't wait to get her running again
