Arrow My 86 Notch Carbed LQ9 Swap.....

Finally got some work done on my new to me 86 notch, ALOT of hard work was done already to the car suspension/chassis wise before i got it....

What was done to the car before me:

Comp. eng. 10 point
Fuel cell
Mini tubbed
Full coilover's
Mosier 8.8
4.10's
Anti roll bar
Fully Adj. suspension
Strange brakes
AJE lsx k-member
Flamming river manual rack

All i have really done was drop my motor/trans combo in, still have a decent amount of stuff to do but she should be moving under her own power in about 2 weeks!

Motor setup:

Stock bottom LQ9
ARP studs
Vic Jr.
Quickfuel 950
TSP cam
Plate kit

Trans setup is:

JW TH400
FTI 3500 stall

This combo went 9.90 @ 134mph on a 150 hit in a 3800+lb regal, my car is a bit lighter so im excited to see what she can do!

Pics:

When i picked it up!

Finally got her home

Took it to the shop to get her new heart!

And this is how she sit's as of now

Car get's the fuel setup tomm. along with the MSD stuff, hoping to hear her fire up soon, i'll post back up once i get the fuel stuff all in!

Thanks for looking!

What is the wheel and tire setup on the back? Wonder how much work is involved in making that much tire fit.

The wheel's are 15x12 Alumastars, tires are 29.5 x 10.50w, i couldnt tell ya the backspacing!

Im ditching the current tire's and going to a 28 x 10.50w's, im not digging the 29.5's!

Why? The fill the well up man!!!

I have a new welder, I ain't scared of nothing now, used to have to get my rides to a friends for use of a real welder. Now I have mah own.

I really wish my car was cought up with yours, but at least I have one now. I wanted a 86 since it was my first and only fox before this one at age 18. But knew it would be gm powered.

I dont really, still havent looked to see if a 325/50/15 would fit on my 12inch wide wheels....

Edit: Looks like they will fit, might have to grab a pair!

I would choose to have rear brakes over the weight reduction. Just my opinion.
