So I'm in the process of buttoning up the 5.3L swap in my '86 C10. I've got an Edelbrock Performer intake and a 1406 Edelbrock carb. It's backed by a 700r4.

My problem is the cheap *** adjustable throttle/kickdown bracket that Edelbrock provides with the intake, it sits too far away from the carb. I have the stock throttle and kickdown cable, the throttle cable will come close, but the kickdown cable sits nearly 4" away from the carb! I've already got the TV correction kit for the carb itself, but I need a new way to mount the throttle and TV cable. I want to find a quality part, not these cheesy adjustable/universal mounts, something like this:

It's meant to fit an Edelbrock carb, but states it won't fit a performer? So what do I need to buy to hook this TV and throttle cable up to my carb?

i had the same issue on my 1990 silverado.. butmy throttle reaches if i use the top bracket with throttle and then for the tv cable i am doubling up the cheasy brackets to make an "extension" for now.
