Question Gauge Help

On the 98 Camaro, I did away with the ECU, switched to Carb etc etc... so Im wonderng how to wire an Oil Pressure and Water temp Gauge... I know this is probably a newb question but I still need an answer. Thanks!

get mechanical guages and just run the plumbing

Get the electric gauge kits. The cheap water temp I use from the local auto parts is 22$. It uses a 1/8th in NPT sensor that you can get the adapter to run into the heads factory sensor location. I did have to open the inside of the adapter up to allow the sensor to fit. Oil pressure is pretty much the same. An adapter that comes with the electric water temp works for the oil pressure setup.

The temp sender from a 98 camaro or trans am (3 prong type) will work for the temp sender. The third prong is the wire to the guage. Im not much on mechanicals, but they will work.

If you have the 3 prong, it shouldnt matter if you have the ecu since the third prong is for the guage. Im usin this temp sender for my stock guages in my 85 s10 blazer, it has the same ohms/resistance, so all I had to do was hook my wire from the guage to the third prong. i just cut the other two off the pigtail

Idk which electrical gauges they would work with on a factory sender.

This came with the Gauges I got from Oreillys, does this just screw into where the factory oil sending unit goes, behind the intake, or how does this work?

Yeah I thought so... now about the wiring part... can you help me with that? Two prongs on the sending unit and 3 on the gauge, whats that about?
