Default External Fuel Setup

Ok so I am running an external electric Holley "blue" pump. I'm using the stock fuel tank in my 300zx (that I am swapping the carb'd LS1 into). Can someone point me in the right direction of what type of fitting you have used to tap into stock fuel tanks? I have a drain plug on the bottom of the tank and its an M8x1.25 thread. I'm thinking that it's too small for a 3/8" fuel setup that I am wanting to run, so I can drill it out to 3/8" but I'm not sure what type of fitting to use.

If anyone could provide some insight that would be great!

You can use a bulkhead fitting. A 6an would be the equivalent to 3/8ths, but the hole you drill will be much larger than the line size. You will need to get a hand inside the tank as well to push the fitting through and hold one side while you tighten the other. I dont know how big the hole in the tank is for the fuel pump/sender on a 300ZX, but you might be able to access that way.
Be very careful not to create a spark while you are drilling. That could end a project and a hotrodding career witha quickness!!!

Yes I can reach in there by removing the stock sender. I will make sure to dry it out real good to avoid any accidental fires. Do you happen to have a link or supplier for such fittings?

Summit racing or really anyone that deals with fuel cell/ fuel line stuff. Its a good idea to flush the tank with water for a WHILE before doing any spark related work around a used gas tank. Good Luck!
