Default Quick carb conversion question. Price

I'm ordering a vic jr and msd 6010 control box from summit, however I'm seeing the "kit" Summit Racing Part Number:EDL-2908 is 799$ but I can order the manifold and msd 6010
For right around 600$, am I missing something here?

order the manifolds and 6010 seperately....the edelbrock 6010 will not let you set custom timing curves..

What he said. Great prices and customer service. Like stated above, the kit is an edelbrock box, its not programmable. It has a map sensor/bracket as well, but not worth the extra 100 bucks. Map sensors are a dime a dozen at the junkyard. Also has a mount for the box, but you need it away from the engine imo, so just get it separate.

And yes, for some reason the packaged kit is more expensive then buying the parts separately.

go figure.
